MTN Launches Hynet Internet Service

Telecommunications giant, MTN, has launched its Hynet internet service in Ilorin , in a bid to aid Small and Medium Enterprises and Small Offices/ Home Offices that cannot afford the broadband acquired by big businesses.

According to the Chief Enterprise Officer, MTN Nigeria, Derek Appiah, at the venue of the ceremony in Kwara hotels Ilorin, he said the unveiling of the service MTN Hynet is guaranteed to transform this state's internet experience and offer businesses in this city a platform to improve their efficiency.

He described the new product as "a revolutionary internet service that is certain to take this historic city to the next level. It is already available in Lagos , Warri, Delta State, and Kaduna, Kaduna State and we intend to extend the service to many more areas before the end of this year".

Appiah added that the prepaid high speed Internet service , which he said combines the speed and reliability of a fixed broadband Internet with the convenience and flexibility of a mobile Internet service, was primed to bring convenience to offices and homes in Ilorin.

He noted that the superfast broadband internet, with up to 1Mbps download speed - 16 times faster than a telephone line, would only require the installation of MTN HyNet modem in offices or homes which would allow connectivity anywhere within 50 metres radius of the modem.
