Trendnet TEW-691GR 450Mbps Wireless-N gigabit router

The good: The Trendnet TEW-691GR 450Mbps Wireless-N gigabit router offers excellent close-range throughput performance. The router has a Web interface that's easy to use, and support for gigabit Ethernet.
The bad: The Trendnet TEW-691GR 450Mbps Wireless-N gigabit router's range throughput speeds could use some improvement. The router is expensive, doesn't have USB ports, and lacks support for dual-band and guest networking. It also runs hot.
The bottom line: The Trendnet TEW-691GR 450Mbps Wireless-N gigabit router is a very fast single-band wireless router. Unfortunately, its good performance doesn't make up for its hefty price tag and lack of features.
Review:
The Trendnet TEW-691GR is very similar to the TEW-639GR with one major difference: it's the first router that supports three-stream Wireless-N, with cap speeds of up to 450Mbps; typical dual-stream Wireless-N routers have cap speeds of 300Mbps.
In our testing, the TEW-691GR delivers. It's the fastest 2.4Ghz wireless router to date in close-range throughput tests. In the range test, however, its performance is about the same as most other Wireless-N routers.
