Digicel launches Wimax mobile broadband modem in Jamaica

Digicel has introduced its Digicel Broadband 'On The Go' USB modem in Jamaica. The operator rolled out its 4G Wimax network in Jamaica at end-August. Customers can access the Digicel 4G Broadband service via a wireless modem, after they have registered at the operator's website. Customers can opt for a prepaid 7-day, 14-day or 30-day tariff plan or a monthly postpaid plan. Digicel also offers one month of mobile broadband services free of charge to new postpaid and prepaid customers who purchase a Digicel 4G Broadband On The Go modem. Digicel has also introduced a CPE modem without Wi-Fi. Digicel 4G Broadband service users thus have three modem models to choose from, including a Wi-Fi modem, an 'On-The-Go' modem, or a standard modem.
