xG Technology has agreed a contract for Western DataCom to develop, manufacture and sell xMax cognitive cellular modem systems as part of its ComCase product line.
In return, xG will receive royalties for any product using xMax technology sold by WDC.
WDC has also been given the exclusive right to introduce xMax technology to one of its partners, a military smartphone manufacturer and systems integrator.
xG said that while royalties may not be considerable, the contract win positions it well for faster and broader penetration into the US military market.
