The price of Tooway satellite broadband cut

by David Allen

The satellite broadband provider, Avonline, has reduced the cost of the equipment used to receive broadband via satellite by £100.

From now on, the cost of the Tooway satellite broadband system will start from £599.

This price includes the satellite dish, modem, installation and activation of the service.

The price of a Tooway satellite broadband subscription will be £29.99 per month for the up-to-3.6 Mbps service with 384 Kbps upload and 2.4 Gb monthly data usage allowance.

There is another plan that provides a data allowance of 12 Gb per month and still has the same speeds but carries the price tag of £99 per month.

The Tooway service can cover the entire UK and even provide a Freesat digital TV service.

However, at those prices the service is unlikely to solve the rural broadband problem.
